HIRST: a monograph
Parsons - The New School
2012 Student Work
A publication project based on Damien Hirst. This monograph is the embodiment of his renowned bold and fantastical personality that is expressed throughout his works.
What better way to capture the essence of Hirst than by making his monograph appear like his most famous work, "Mother and Child". The 12"x16" book was split in two and placed in two separately built tanks trimmed in gold with the inside covers displaying the split cow. The spreads are loud and proud as some fold out to reveal large poster sized images of his work.
Design: 12" x 16" book, laser cut plexiglass case
Typeface: Novecento Wide, Book/Bold (only typeface allowed)
